Colleague in the spotlight: Sanjivani Dave

We are happy to introduce you to Sanjivani! As a Jr Quality Assurance Tester she has been working with us for a little more then 1.5 years. Basically, she has spent more time working from home than at our Indian office.
When Sanjivani is not working she is busy painting, playing guitar or watching a good science fiction movie. But at work and despite working from home a lot, she manages to get her job done and to be rewarded as employee of the month July!

 

How long have you been working at DevRepublic
I have been working with DevRepublic for 1 year and 7 months.

 

What are your skills?
My skills are manual testing for Web Apps and Mobile Apps, test planning and test cases management.

 

What do you like at working at DevRepublic?
I like working at Devrepublic because of the positive and friendly work culture, experienced and supportive colleagues who help each other to grow ad achieve goals. It caters to my needs to test and push myself and become a better working professional.

 

What achievement are you proud off?
I am proud that as a fresher I have utilised the exposure by implementing the knowledge while continuing to learn new things.

 

IT business does have less women then man working. What can you tell about that and what are your experiences?
While being aware of the ongoing issues regarding the matter, I've been fortunate enough to not encounter one. For quite some time, small but constant and visible changes are to be noticed.

 

How does your working day look like? (you start with tea/ coffee? Then do a standup? )
My day starts with coffee and then checking emails and messages followed by the team meeting.

 

What is the difference working from home in Covid times versus from the office?
Working from home has been a great change and it has its pulse points though it cannot replace working from office, I'm looking forward to work from office.

 

What do you like about working with Dutch people
The cultural exposure would be one of the aspects I like the most about working with dutch people. My experience so far has been smooth and I admire their direct approach regarding communication the most.

 

Anything Dutch you like? Sweets, cookies, flowers? Or something?
I have never tried anything yet 🙂 but as a part of my project I came across some pictures of flowers and I loved them.

 

What is the biggest difference from your point of view in Indian and Dutch culture?
The biggest difference between both the culture is, in Dutch culture punctuality and direct communication approach Is to be commended and in Indian culture, people are more emotionally involved in their professional life.

 

Can you tell me little bit more about yourself, private. Any hobbies, sports, things you do in your free time?
I prefer spending my leisure time doing some paintings, watching sci-fi movies and web series, and trying my hand on guitar.
